"The secret ingredient in what I cook is love, always love." - Soleil

Soleil Banguid, the chef and owner of Soleil's African Cuisine in Alameda, brought the tastes of Africa to diners throughout the East bay and beyond. When he passed in March, after suffering a stroke at age 45, his wife and partner TJ was left to mourn her beloved husband and make sense of it all, emotionally and financially.
This page has been created to provide the community with ways to help the Banguid family in their time of need. If you are able to contribute in any way, please consider some of the options below.
The "Soleil Brille Toujours Memorial Fund" has been opened at Trans Pacific National Bank to help the Banguid family cover medical and funeral expenses.
